Aerem Environmental was engaged by March Cato to provide end-to-end asbestos and contaminated land services at a development site on Captain Springs Road, Auckland.
Scope
- Contaminated Land Assessment Detailed site inspection, sampling, and laboratory analysis to identify asbestos-containing material and asbestos-contaminated soil in accordance with NESCS and WorkSafe NZ guidelines (Working Alongside Tonkin and Taylor)
- Asbestos Clearance Independent verification of asbestos removal works, ensuring the site met the requirements for safe reoccupation and further development.
- Air Monitoring Continuous and clearance air monitoring throughout removal activities to ensure airborne fibre concentrations remained within safe, regulatory limits.
Outcome
The project was completed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Aerem provided detailed reporting, enabling March Cato to proceed confidently with construction works while ensuring the health and safety of workers and the public.
